Castle wall

A view of the castle walls near Lossi plats (castle square).

The round tower on the right is actually free standing. It is a cannon tower named Kiek in de kok. It derives its unusual name from the low-German for "Peek in the Kitchen", allegedly because from this marvellous lookout point one could see even into the kitchens of the lower town. The tower, built around 1475 now serves as a museum and photographic gallery.
