The airport I used was near to the town of Bergamo, and rather than travel on a long-distance motor coach directly in to Milan I chose to take the local bus into town and then the train to Milan.
Whilst waiting for the train I went for a short walk along the road between the station and the old part of Bergamo which is located on the hill in the distance. During my walk I encountered these Roman style porticos.
The next image was taken standing on the far side of the portico on the left.
